A quick creation!

I haven't had much creative time of late...working full time and trying to run a household of 4, doesn't leave much free time (unfortuately)! I quickly whipped up this little card last weekend.  I love this colour scheme...but then again I love anything with Kraft.  To add a bit of something special to the butterflies, I embossed the white floral images. (It's a pitty this hasn't come out in the pic).

Enjoy your weekend! Hoping to show you more creative ideas soon!

This weekends creations!

This weekend I made some double slide cards.  These are my favourite thing at the moment.  They are super easy to make once you watch this tutorial over at Dawn's Studio.  You wouldn't believe it, but the sliding mechanism works on a piece of grocery bag. I love how you get two surprises when you pull the top tab out.  Definately one for an up and coming class!

I also got to play with my new favourite toy, my embossing gun.  I embossed the bird cage and vine using clear embossing powder and versa marker. For the flowers I used my stampin write markers to match all the Soft Subtles paper.

Baby Shower Gift

Today I'm off to a baby shower.  I thought about making lots of different things for little baby girl Frampton but ended up making this piece of wall art for her nursery.  This idea comes from 2 crafty ladies, Yvonne Campbell and Kari Hughes

When Baby Girl Frampton is born and named I'll add her name to the frame.  I've also left the bottom right square plain for the little one's details.  This to will be added when I get my baby girl cuddles in a couple of weeks.

Materials: (Mostly Stampin Up)
Paper - Pretty in Pink, Rose Red and Raspberry Tart DSP
Stamps - Great Friend
Ink -  Close to Cocoa and Versa Mark (with Clear Embossing Powder)
Flowers - Flower Fusion and Flower Fusion Too

Bling - Filigree Designer Brads
Buttons  - Amy Butler (butterfly) and various with Linen Thread
Extras - Stick-on Pearls
Frame - Lincraft Scrapbooking Frame. (It was timber so I spray painted it white)

I'm in love with Circle Cards!!

I'm on a roll with these circle cards at the moment. It's similar to the cupcake card I made for Makeesha's Colour Challenge last week, plus I've added in some embossing on vellum.

These cute little critters come from the Forest Friends Set available in one of last years Stampin Up mini catalogues. This is the first time I've used them. I definately think I'll be getting them out again soon. Tooo cute to leave on the shelf!!!
