Cash Slider

Tonight I was determined to sit down and get something completed in the one evening......well...I did it...for a change! I made this Cash Slider for my brothers belated birthday gift. I'm not sure if I'll add money or a voucher..we'll just have to see!

I got this idea from Teneale Williams Blog. I've made chocolate slides before but hadn't thought to create a slide in this simple way. It was really easy to make. I think I'll be making many more of these through out the year.Items used:
Stamps:Itty Bitty Backgrounds, Occasions for All, Just Beachy
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Bordering Blue, Nights of Navy, Versa Marker.
Paper:Pacific Point, Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Basic Grey.
Extras: Designer Brads, Pacific Point Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

I think I've got a crush on buttons!!!

This weekend I've had another go at one of the Clean and Simple Sketch Challenges. This was the sketch for this week: I didn't initially intend on using this splash of buttons...but seriously...at the moment I just can't get enough of buttons on my cards!!!! I decided on the colour combination of Riding Hood Red, Basic Grey and Whisper White after pulling out some Amy Butler Brads that i'd never used before. This is where the super cute little birdy and flower come from. Thanks for looking and have a great week!!!

A real quicky!!!

Yesterday we headed off to our friend Tom's 30th. Come that afternoon, I had no card and no present. Dressed and ready to go, I pulled out the stamp set I'd borrowed from my friend Chook and put together this quick card. For a quicky...it came together quite well! Usually it takes me hours to design and create a card. For this little beauty I did a bit of Aqua Painting on the beer and used my scoring tool to add some detail to the bottom of the card. For a quick present, we ended up picking up a bottle of rum on our way across town. What male doesn't like receiving a bottle of their favourite drop!!!

Hoping you've all had a lovely weekend!

Cute as A button!!

I've quickly whipped this little card up for a special little 4 year old that I know, using the below sketch from Clean and Simple as inspiration.

My creation isn't exactly like the sketch but all the elements are there.

I'm in love with Circle Cards!!

I'm on a roll with these circle cards at the moment. It's similar to the cupcake card I made for Makeesha's Colour Challenge last week, plus I've added in some embossing on vellum.

These cute little critters come from the Forest Friends Set available in one of last years Stampin Up mini catalogues. This is the first time I've used them. I definately think I'll be getting them out again soon. Tooo cute to leave on the shelf!!!
